
The L-2 Visa is a nonimmigrant visa that allows spouses and unmarried children under the age of 21 of L-1 Visa holders to live and work in the United States. L-2 Visa holders are not required to work, but they are authorized to do so if they obtain an Employment Authorization Document (EAD).

Application Process

L-2 Visas are initially issued for the same period of time as the L-1 Visa holder's status. L-2 Visa holders can stay in the United States for as long as their spouse or parent's L-1 status is valid.
